The mask, okay so I bought a blank mask, got some gutter wiring, 3 coat hangers, and duct tape. FIRST, I had to cut the mask to look like thresh. I used the gutter wiring to make a base for it to stay on my head basically. Then, I taped the hangers on to the head where the three bone prongy thingys are on threshes head. (here is the blog I followed to make this) http://frekki.wordpress.com/2013/04/07/thresh-mask/
I used paper clay and shaped it into place, after I finally got the coat hangers in place, this was a real pain and the clay helped a little. I waited a few days for that to dry, maybe about two days. Next, I glued so green cyophene to the hangers so it would look sort of like fire, cut out some bone shapes for the bone prong things out of this foam stuff i got from freds where the poster boards are. I painted the clay and the bones BEFORE gluing the bones on. then the mask is complete.
The lantern, I cut out the shape from card board, I suggest putting a wire circle through the top of the cardboard, so you can hold it at this point. used spray insulation and cut it to shape the best i could. I did paper machie with mixed flour and water in equal parts. I gave that about a day and a half to dry then used paper clay on it as well. Two days later I painted it.
While my lantern was drying, I made my weapon, I really really rushed it. I cut out card board the syith and the bone chains, (I glued wires and hooked them up to form the chain just like on the blog I was following, I found out it is much easier to spray foam them first before hooking them all together, I spray foamed the weapon, cut it to shape, and used paper machie, and let that dry. Shorty after that was dry, I used a little clay to form some indentions, i didn't cover it in clay. I painted that as well and hooked it to the lantern.
I know I wasn't the best at explaining this, but that is because the blog I used has better detail to it. I followed all of the same steps. Her cosplay was in full, I plan on doing the whole thing for next year, but that's all I had time for this year. Happy cosplaying!
